The Charleston leg of the tournament is shaping up to be an epic one in the inaugural year. The festivities will begin at 6 pm Friday night August 8, kicking off the captains meeting at the Mill Casino who will be hosting the dining and festivities this year. One member from each team is required to attend the captains meeting to go over last minute details of the tournament.

Saturday morning will see a designated parking area for tournament truck/trailers behind the tournament booth in the Charleston boat basin. The Port will arrange as many overnight slips as possible once we have an idea how many participants would like moorage in the basin. However, the early bird gets the worm on reservations, so contact them ASAP if you plan on leaving your boat in the water. Freshwater wash down locations are onsite within the boat basin.

Weigh-in will be at the boat basin but the festivities won’t stop there. They simply change gears back to the Mill Casino and Hotel. Tournament attendees will enjoy a fun night with a separate area just for us on the boardwalk. Additional entertainment is currently being lined up and will be updated when confirmed for the weekend. The casino is putting aside 40 rooms and 20 RV spaces in a block for tournament fishermen with special pricing.

Additional services for the tournament that are currently being worked out are for live bait, free ice, and potentially free beverages Saturday night (even the adult kind). A list for alternative places to stay and port contact information will be included below
